I was telling you about the benefits of taking in good amounts of water. Now let me tell you what all are all the good effects of taking in some warm water. People think it’s not good to consume water in between meals. But this is not true. Whenever you sit down for a meal, make sure you a glass of warm water. Note this particularly!! You are not supposed to take ice cold water along with your meal. For that matter, you don’t have to take ice cold water any time!! Getting back to our ‘warm’ discussion, many of you would have an aversion to sip some hot water when eating. But I am talking about warm water here. I think if you start practicing it, you will get to like it.
Now you might ask me ‘why all the strain??’When you take warm water along with your food, the fats in the food get diluted. Hence digestion becomes easier. On the contrary, if you take ice cold water, it toughens the digestion process. This is one of the reasons why they say it’s not good to take ice creams just before or just after your meal.
Water as you all know is called the Elixir of life!! To me, a glass of water is always fascinating; in the sense, how can one imagine a combination of hydrogen and oxygen serves as such a life-giver for the humans. The wonders of water are endless!! A glass of water just after you wake up every day can refresh your senses so very much. Just have a check on the amount of water you consume every day. Eight glasses every day is the least amount of water one will require for a healthy living. It can relieve you off mental and physical sluggishness.
Taking ample amount of water will rejuvenate every cell in our body. I was telling you about the importance of blood purification. Proper amounts of water can serve as a blood purifier and also as a means of settled up fats to get dissolved. The next immediate effect of consuming good amounts of water is that your skin is rendered with a clear and flawless complexion. The digestive system also needs good amount of water to digest and absorb the nutrients from the food effectively. Just like how things get cleaned up when washed with water, our body also gets cleansed when the right amount of water is consumed.
I think every one of you would have got to know about the recent spread of Swine flu. There was widespread panic about this in many countries. But many people had a wrong consumption that it is a new disease which came into existence this year suddenly. According to me, the media in many parts of the world was successful in creating awareness among millions of people. But something else should also be considered. All the talks, discussions and everything going on has also created sort of a panic in everyone’s mind. One needs to analyze about such things clearly before panicking.
If you remember, a few years ago, there was a big talk about a disease called ‘SAARS’. Even now, how many of you know that the Swine flu virus was first isolated in 1987?! It is not a few months ago when the virus was first discovered. It is true that the vaccine for this disease is yet to come. But there are effective ways of treatment for this disease; so there is absolutely no need to dread. It is just like how you keep yourself from catching common cold or a normal flu. Not only this, the spread of any disease can be prevented by taking proper precautionary measures.
