Your skin…

Do you know which part of your body immediately informs us of our health?? Our skin!! You might think if it is so important to keep your skin supple and moisturized. But actually it is the other way around. If you are healthy enough and if your blood is purified, your skin will dazzle with a glow which no skin care cream can offer. Here are some natural ways of gaining the nutrients needed to keep your skin healthy.

Vitamin E is the most important nutrient which will make your skin healthy. One of the best sources of Vitamin E is almond. Just take some almonds every day and leave them to soak for about three hours. Peel the skin away from the soaked almond and consume it regularly and you can get a wonderful skin in a few days. Another way of bringing in a good complexion to your skin is blood purification. Pure Saffron, which gives a golden orange color when soaked in water, is an excellent blood purifier. And what more!! These two stuff put together, that is, soaked almonds and soaked saffron ground together can make the best facial cream ever!! Carrots and sugar-beet becoming a part of our every day meal will produce great results because they possess Beta-carotenes which are excellent in terms of getting a healthy skin.

Crazy stuff!!

I recently heard from a friend about a person who lost nearly half of his body weight in a few months. I was taken aback by the crazy things people do to lose weight!! It seems that the guy used to work out in his treadmill for more than two hours every day without proper food intake. Then after a few months of this cruelty to one’s own body, he started using artificial proteins to get back into proper shape. It really sounded horrible to me!! Your health is something precious and it is supposed to be handled with care and composure. You cannot try out anything and everything just because it is not fatal!!

Losing your weight is not possible naturally without controlling your diet. But it is also important to note that there is no point in just losing weight without improving your health. Losing a few pounds by going on a hunger strike is absolutely crazy!! The first thing to do when starting out a diet plan is to write out a schedule for your food intake. Success doesn’t come in day!! This is especially true with regards to your health and weight. Remember, every small bit of care you give your body will surely add up to your health.

Modern Myths!!

It is very true that great many people have become health conscious these days. Many people look into what is healthy for them and their lifestyle. But unfortunately, it is also true that this has also lead to the increase in the number of health myths created every minute. For example, how many of you believe that your abs can be flattened just with a dozen crunches every day?? To tell you the truth, it’s just a myth!!

There is also a common belief in people that exercise of any kind will help to burn calories and so it is always healthy. But it’s not so. It’s always better to know what sort of exercises suit your body and learn exactly how to work out. Say, you take up jogging every morning. It is very important to maintain good posture when running. Drooping of shoulders and slouching will only bring in cramps and in turn you will start disliking the whole jogging idea. Some people also believe that drinking water when you have your food will stop you from eating enough!! But actually, it’s always good to take some water when you have your food. It helps a lot in digestion.

Don’t let it rust!!

As I was saying earlier, regular exercise is what will keep us healthy. So does that mean that we have to work out all the time and lose all energy?? Definitely not!! The human body is just like a machine. We shouldn’t let it rust; we shouldn’t make it wear out even. We need just the right amount of work and the right amount of rest. To make this clear, I think this will be a great example.

Consider our brain, the most complex machine in the whole world. I realized how important it is to exercise the brain and keep it alert. I think all of us would have known about the world famous ‘Su Do Ku’ puzzles. A couple of years earlier, I used to solve those puzzles regularly. Then for about a year, I didn’t. Now when I started solving them again, I realized that my efficiency in solving the puzzles has gone down. You can ask me if this is such a big problem!! Not really. But what I observed from this was something more. I realized that solving such puzzles was making me more alert and conscious of my surroundings. I was able to be faster and accurate in all other works too. This only makes me tell you that it’s very important that we keep our minds busy!!

The effect of Evolution!!

I was struck by a thought when I was thinking about evolution. Early man wandered around in the open and hence needed a lot of protection for his body; from the heat and the cold. His skin then was thick with a lot of hair cover. But as man started moving into the caves and sort the warmth of fire in the colder times, evolution came into the play, but in a negative sense. That is, once you no longer need a particular part of the body, or once you no longer need a particular physical characteristic, you lose it as days go by.

This is the main reason why the Homo sapiens are becoming a weaker species day by day. We started eating cooked food and our teeth became smaller and weaker. The wheels were invented and we started travelling by various means of transport. This made our limbs weaker than they were a few generations earlier. So just think!! What effects will our lifestyle and health have on our future generation!! Leave alone the future generation, what I feel is that if you don’t exercise your mind or your body regularly, you will obviously become weaker!!
